Samenvatting

This paper was presented at the `Strategies for enhancing pavement performance' session. The basic objective of pavement performance is to quantitatively determine how a pavement is serving the users. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is one indicator used by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to assess pavement performance. This paper examines the current pavement condition (PCI), age and life-cycle of pavement on Southern Ontario freeways and arterials, and is based on a recent study. This work was developed from a desire to identify and quantify the rehabilitation and reconstruction candidates on the network. (A)
