Samenvatting
One of the possible activities in the future to decrease the dangers of alcohol in traffic is a study of chemicals which have a sobering effect. To get an insight into the existing knowledge in this area and to study the usefulness of stimulating further research, a literature review was made. The best way to counteract the influence of ethanol is the retardation of the absorption by means of a sugar holding beverage or a good meal. A further study of sobering remedies for improving traffic safety seems not to be useful at present.
