Samenvatting
This paper deals with the function of design-profiles. Difference must be made between the individual needs and the needs of the community as a whole. To prevent discrepancies between reality and standards which tend to be "old-fashioned" a so-called "moving standard" is promoted. In using this moving standard one can take account of trends and developments in policy. To realise a social acceptable situation also the "steering standard" is defined.
