Important influences on the use of transport which can be expected in the future are presented. Besides a certain decrease in the transport supply and the correlating influence of the freedom in selection of transport possibilities, a limit of the spending budget of the users of transport in relationship with the increasing costs of transport can be predicted. Demographic factors and other changes in the traditional sociological constellations lead to another activity pattern and therefore to a different mobility pattern.
