Samenvatting
It is concluded that the realisation of a good lighting for motorways has a high priority by most authorities for the safety and the comfort of the road user. However economical motives give a delay in this development. After discussing some kinds of lighting columns, emphasis is laid on the construction and application of on-line lighting.
