Samenvatting
These opening remarks of the fifth national conference on high-occupancy vehicle systems welcome participants, invite them to see the different types of HOV in operation in seattle, and briefly comment on the conference objectives. This conference was conducted by the Transportation Research Board, National Research Council, Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle and Washington State Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration and the Urban Mass Transportation Administration.
