Little is known about the long- term disability suffered by individuals injured in a road accident, the duration of the disability, the effect of their ability to carry out their daily normal routine or the cost to the community. This report discusses the set up of a research into the long- term disability of cyclists and moped riders. An injury- scale for the chance of disability should be developed in which the complexity of disability is considered. See for the cover- note PB 29456.
