Samenvatting
By the time of the 7th ITS congress, the Oresund link toll collection system had been in operation for just over 4 months. The bridge, which was inaugurated by HRH the Queen of Denmark and HRH the King of Sweden on July 1st this year, represents the realisation of an old dream sustained over centuries by people on both sides of the Sound. The link, connecting Scandinavia to the European continent, will play an important part in the shaping of a new and powerful region of education, commerce and industry. This paper presents the technical solutions implemented, as well as the experiences from the commissioning phase and the first four months of regular operations.
