The diversity of European organizational models for urban transport is evidenced by the ISOTOPE (improved Structure and Organisation for Urban Transport Operations of Passengers in Europe) study. Implementation of these models for a long period of time has shown their efficiency, or lack of efficiency. This paper discusses both the strong and weak points of these models as well as their applicability to developing countries. The English title of the paper is: "Organisation of European public transport : orientations for developing countries?"
