Organized observations of night-sky brightness in Japan.

The increase of night- sky brightness is rapid in this decade because of the expansion of city areas. This brings as a result the loss of a large number of good sites for astronomical observations in the world. Two kinds of measurements were carried out: 1) Number of stars were in a triangle 2) Photographs of a star field at the zenith at each point were taken with the same type of camera and film.
