Samenvatting
This paper described a method for strengthening pavements by applying grids and other reinforced materials to asphalt overlays. Tests were carried out using a falling weight deflectometer both before and after the application of the strengthening layer in order to ascertain the increase in bearing capacity thus produced. External variables such as temperature, the type of asphalt material used, and the ground water level which could have affected the results were kept constant.
