Public transport in the Netherlands operates in a rapidly changing environment. Therefore, the public transport product too will have to change. In a densily populated area like Greater Rotterdam, with an extended public transport network, many other ways of building up a public transport system are possible. A monodisciplinary way of thinking can cause wrong choices because of the limited view of this single discipline. This paper, however, shows how different views and methods have produced the same conclusion on public transport in the Rotterdam region. (A)
