Samenvatting

This paper sets out the work being undertaken in Scotland to provide information for travellers. Two key projects are considered within this paper; the first of which is a trial project to be developed at an international ferry port which will provide information on a Variable Message Signs (VMS) to drivers in the appropriate language having determined their country of origin using an Automatic Number Plate Reader (ANPR) camera. The second project has seen the installation of four traveller information kiosks at key locations providing onward travel information and for which some evaluation has been undertaken. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
