Samenvatting
Paratransit modes of transportation enable local public transport systems to expand beyond the service area of the line haul to the lesser populated suburbs and into rural regions. Various operational forms of paratransit can be decisively improved by the use of telecommunications. This paper briefly discusses case examples from the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin.
