Samenvatting
Case-study into the reactions of car drivers upon the closing-down of a car park in the centre of The Hague. The effect of this parking restraint has been assessed by means of a before- and after- study. In the analysis a distinction is drawn between car drivers who simply had a continue to go by car (auto captives) and those who could use a transport alternative (choosers). Finally attention is paid to the backgrounds of the changes in travel behaviour.
