Samenvatting
The purpose of this study was to compare the acute and subchronic effects of paroxetine 20 and 40 mg with those of an active control (amitriptyline) and placebo on psychomotor functions and actual car driving. This was done according to a double- blind, cross- over design. Results show that paroxetine 20 mg had no impairing effect on psychomotor test performance or driving behaviour. Paroxetine 40 mg had significant effects on critical instability tracking, tracking in the divided attention task and choice reaction time in both days of testing.
