Samenvatting
The function of different types of inertia brake systems, is described. A computer-program simulating braking with a car and a single-axle trailer has been developed. The program calculates how different factors, such as trailer-weight, height of centre of gravity, lenght between coupling and axle, tyre-dimension etc., affects minimum stopping distance, retardation and hitch load.
