The papers in this volume focus on current information on pavement and traffic monitoring and evaluation; most were presented at the 1993 TRB Annual Meeting in sessions sponsored by the TRB committees on Pavement Monitoring, Evaluation and Data Storage; on Surface Properties-Vehicle Information; and on Highway Traffic Monitoring. In addition, two papers on metric conversion, sponsored by the Pavement Management Section, appear at the end of the volume.
