Samenvatting

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2087 includes 14 papers that explore extended-life hot-mix asphalt pavement design, benefits of the Minnesota Road Research Project, calibration of mechanistic-empirical models for flexible pavements, perpetual pavement response to vehicular loading, repeatability of asphalt strain measurements, coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete materials, and adaptation of the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) for design of Minnesota low-volume concrete pavements. This issue of the TRR also examines ground penetrating radar for detection of delamination in concrete pavements, accuracy of current complex modulus selection procedure from vehicular load pulse, effect of traffic load measurement bias on pavement life prediction, conversion of testing frequency to loading time applied to the MEPDG, database support for the MEPDG, pavement rutting performance prediction by the integrated Weibull approach, and local calibration of the MEPDG for flexible pavement design.
