Samenvatting
The effect on the frequency and severity of pedestrian accidents and the number of motor vehicles in use, of the population density, of the age of the pedestrian, of the time of day, of darkness and daylight, and of wetness and dryness, are all examined and all are found to have marked effects. The understanding of the effects of various factors on accident makes the design of rational policies for dealing with road accident, possible.
