Pedestrian behaviour at crossings with and without traffic lights.

This investigation is a part of a project concerning the behaviour of pedestrians and vehicle drivers and their interaction. It is shown that a combination of film and video registrations gives a reliable measure of head movements. The results indicate that pedestrians to a higher extent looked for vehicles when there were no traffic lights at the crossing.
