Samenvatting
A reasoned argument is presented, calling for the integration of social and environmental assessment within transportation and traffic planning procedures and policies currently being practiced in Israel. Subsequently, a number of more fundamental issues related to the compatibility of pedestrian and motorized life-styles are mentioned.
