Samenvatting

A pedestrian received very serious injuries when struck by an automobile travelling at over 40 miles per hour. The collision, the injuries sustained by the pedestrian and treatment received are described. A simple two-dimensional model was used in the reconstruction of the collision to obtain the approximate trajectory of the victim and to provide a basis for order of magnitude calculation for his dynamics.
