Samenvatting
A survey of pedestrian trips was conducted with the major purpose to analyze data on walking trip lengths as a function of age, sex, trip purpose, and day of week for use in transportation and community planning. A tendency was found for people to take walking trips of about one third of a mile. (See also A 9843).
