Vehicle factors in accident and injury causation in pedestrians and cyclists are discussed. Pedestrian accident factors include car size, braking, visibility and conspicuity. for bicycle accidents they include rider behaviour and visibility. Factors in injury causation are overall frontal shape, stiffness of impact areas, and front end design of vehicles.
