Perceived safety : methodological problems. Background paper.

The main aim of the session on perceived safety is to ask questions about the adequacy of traditional evaluation procedures, and about how they could be improved. This paper raises some of the more important issues involved. Three general issues are discussed, terminology, subjective factors and methodology.
