The perception of maneuvers of moving vehicles. Progress report VI (final report)- Implications of psychophysical threshold measurements for the night driving situation.

After a review of the principal results contained in previous reports a generalized equation is derived which expresses threshold speed in depth for relative movement as a function of observation distance and observation duration. Suggestions to improve the car-following situation, in human factor terms are presented.
