Samenvatting
In this paper, a framework for the study of perception in traffic is outlined. It is shown that in isolation the sensory processes are of only minor importance, but that adequate information processing by the driver is crucial. From a global three-level characterization of the driving task a number of criteria for information presentation are derived.
