Samenvatting
A series of crushed rock fines asphalts made with a range of bitumen grades and binder contents were laid on A303 near Mere, Wiltshire in 1982. The performance of the sections has been monitored by regular measurements of skidding resistance, surface texture and deformation with visual inspections up to the end of the trial in 1989. Overall, the surfacing that performed best at this site used 100 pen bitumen with a binder content close to the design optimum. (A)
