The main purpose of the research was to look to the supposed increased age of passenger cars involved in fatal accidents during 1978-1982. While the model years of the cars has to been estimated, the research is explorative. There is a certain tendency between the ageing of the car park and their involvement in fatal accidents but this tendency is nog significant outside built up areas and an motorways.
