Samenvatting
The Dutch have been on the move during the last decades: the introduction of the car has caused an enormous increase in the mobility. It is expected that the growth will continue during long time. Taking into account the correlating threat for the environment such is not acceptable. Public transport, a saving and environment- friendly transport mode, should have a bigger role than proposed in the Second Structure Scheme on Traffic and Transport.
