Current mapping techniques can be applied to the analysis of vehicle deformations. A stereo mensuration system specifically designed for 35 mm and 70 mm format non- metric cameras is an effective tool for obtaining numerical as well as graphical results. An overview of photogrammetry is provided, and the specific field techniques which facilitate the mapping are described in detail.
