Physiological measurement of risk perception of pedestrians in passing traffic.

This paper describes a modelling framework and data collection process to investigate stressful situations experienced by road users in typical residential streets in Japan. The level of risk perception as experienced by pedestrians sharing a road with motor vehicles is investigated by using a physiological symptom. This model is a tool useful to evaluate the effects of traffic management policies. (A)
