Samenvatting
A market survey of provision of ITS services via wireless application protocol (WAP) was carried out in Spain by the Royal Automobile Club Catalonia in Spain. A high level of ignorance was found with regard to navigation systems and positive reactions to ITS systems were noted. Medical and roadside assistance systems were considered the most important options, followed by the ability to track the vehicle in the event of theft. A practical test of the technology was carried out.
