Planning and evaluation of rural road construction. Illustrated by Bavarian land consolidation schemes.

Present situation in Bavaria is presented. There are tasks of land consolidation, necessity to build new farm roads and tracks. Particular aims and principles ruling rural road construction are given. New tendencies, construction should be cost- saving and structures compatible with nature and permeable to water, retention of surface water are discussed.
