Planning for the disabled : practical experience in an English town since 1974.

The paper describes how Middlesborough Borough Council took stock of the needs of the handicapped in 1974. The Social Services Department provides general care f.i. aids in the home, transport, recreational and education facilities. A programme of minor improvements has been carried out since 1974. Examples thereof are presented and discussed.
