Plastic coatings used for street furniture are reviewed and with alternative finishes compared. Benefits listed are attractive seam free finish, insulation, low maintenance, edge protection and resistance to corrosion, ultra-violet light, acid, abrasion and weathering. PVC, nylon, epoxy, fluidized-bed coating and electrostatic spraying are considered in turn.
