Platoon-operated stations for quasi-synchronous personal rapid transit networks.

A computer simulation of vehicle operations in an off-line, single-ramp personal rapid transit station is presented. Previous to entering the station, the vehicles form platoons in a queue area. The vehicles are assumed to leave the station in platoons and enter another queue area to await open slots for merging onto the main line.
