Samenvatting
From 1960 to 1970 the number of traffic casualties did not stop increasing. In 1987, progress was registered. The total number of casualties decreased by 37%, whilst the number of vehicles, of road users and of kilometres run increased. These encouraging results were obtained due to general action taken by the public authorities combined with a particular action of the national police.
