Samenvatting
The control of risk in the prevention of traffic accidents is one of the main functions of traffic regulations. An important aspect is the influence of traffic regulations and its enforcement on the road user behaviour. In this review of the literature it is discussed how this possibility can be achieved, by which the (decision) behaviour of the road user is considered mainly, as well as the al or not presence of traffic rules. Police surveillance must be divided into place and time and these are discussed in relationship with the costs and financing.
