Samenvatting

Three systems of programmed driving are presented. The advantages of these systems are that they can make use of the existing infrastructure in the cities without this needing to be changed to any extent, they do not require any technological new development and they are relatively cheap to produce. This by no means exhausts the potentialities of the infrastructure existing in the cities. The development of control and guidance system is to be preferred to the introduction of problematic new systems in the field of traffic engineering and control.
