Samenvatting

In order to obtain information about pre-driver and driver training courses in secondary schools, questionnaires were sent to schools were some form of driver training was known to be in progress. The survey showed that pre-driver training courses, i.e. those which involve some six hours or less of car driving are attended mainly by secondary modern pupils, 14-15 years of age. These courses include rather more car driving and often provide the tuition needed for the Ministry of Transport driving test. Other variations were found between the two basic types of course and are discussed in the report.
