Samenvatting
An outline of existing provisions for pre-school education in The Netherlands is presented. The general philosophy behind the Dutch pre-school education is given. The child at home, the child at day-care centre, play group, kindergarten or child minders are studied. Some aspects of development and eight educational experiments are described.
