This monograph focuses on the issue of predicting the usage of freight transportation services and the production of these services over the transportation services. The uses of such predictions are many. The goal of the book is to develop a model of the freight transportation system which adequately describes this system and its relation to the overall economy so that the model can be used for policy analysis.
