The prediction of platoon dispersion in the combination methods of linking traffic signals.

The combination method of linking traffic signals, devised by RRl, is an important innovation over previous methods in its philosophy of minimizing total delay. The method requires the delay/difference of-offset relations for each direction of each link in the network which, in-turn, requires the prediction of platoon dispersion along the links.
