Samenvatting
The study concentrates on blunt impact to the thorax resulting from steering column impact. Padded inserts and airbags are also used in conjunction with the energy absorbing steering columns in many of the tests which involve both baboon and cadaver tests subjects. The data are analyzed and presented as analytical predictions of the AIS number as a function of kinematic information from accelerometers.
