Predictions of intercity modal choice from disaggregate, behavioral, stochastic models. Paper presented at the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Highway Research Board HRB, Washington, D.C., January 1973.

Results of some empirical prediction tests on disaggregate, behavioural, stochastic models of modal choice are reported. The expected number calculation (summation of probabilities) yields predictions of modal choice of a high degree of accuracy, although a caveat is in order regarding the transferability of such models.
