Findings of a research project which involved a detailed analysis of injury costs of all accident admissions to Christchurch Hospital over a two month period, are summarized. In total the costs of 160 accident victims are analysed. The mean treatment costs of a road accident victim was 1.573, the median cost is 285, New Zealand dollar.
