More often tasks related to parking are contracted out. Until now this is limited to the operational tasks. Civil laws prohibits privatising policy making by private parties. In future the (local) authorities will limit their activities to their main tasks, leaving more possibilities for private parties to fill in parts of the parking policy making. The role of private parties then becomes more important. As a result of this commitment of private parties for the accessibility of the city as a whole will become stronger. (A)
