Samenvatting
It is not unusual to look upon elderly road users as being a rather problematic group. Even experts, here and there, would agree, that, according to accident statistics, this attitude might not be totally wrong. The present study, financed by the Scientific Research Fund in Vienna and supported by the Austrian Road Safety Board deals with the question where the psychological and psychophysiological reason for obviously existent increased risk for elderly road users have to be searched.
